Connect your Razorpay account
Buyers pay straight into your own Razorpay account. Get your keys, finish KYC and add the webhook.
YourBio never holds your money. Every payment goes from the buyer into your own Razorpay account, and Razorpay settles it to your bank. To make that work you connect your Razorpay API keys once.
Step 1: Create a Razorpay account and finish KYC
- Sign up or log in at dashboard.razorpay.com.
- Complete Razorpay's activation (KYC) form. Razorpay usually asks for your PAN, personal or business details, a bank account for settlements and address proof โ the exact list depends on your business type, and Razorpay decides what it needs.
- Until Razorpay activates your account you can only use Test mode. That's fine for trying your store out.
Step 2: Generate API keys
In Razorpay go to Account & Settings โ API Keys and generate a key. You get a Key ID (starts with rzp_test_ or rzp_live_) and a Key Secret. Razorpay shows the secret only once, so keep that tab open.
Step 3: Paste them into YourBio
Open Settings โ Payments (/dashboard/settings/payments), paste the Key ID and Key Secret and press Verify & connect. We check them with Razorpay straight away and store the secret encrypted โ it is never shown again, not even to our support team.
The card then shows connected and either Test mode or Live mode, matching your keys.
Step 4: Add the webhook (don't skip this)
Webhooks let Razorpay tell us a payment succeeded even if the buyer closes the tab, so the buyer still gets their product. After connecting, the Webhook card on the Payments page shows:
- a Webhook URL that is unique to your store, in the form
https://<our domain>/webhooks/payments/razorpay/<your account ID>. Copy it from the page rather than typing it. - a Secret to copy.
In Razorpay go to Account & Settings โ Webhooks โ Add new webhook in the same mode as your keys (test keys need a test-mode webhook, live keys a live-mode one). Paste the URL and secret and tick these events:
payment.capturedpayment.failedrefund.processedpayment.dispute.createdpayment.dispute.wonpayment.dispute.lost
Save. After your next payment, Last webhook on the Payments page shows a time instead of "none received yet".
Going live
When Razorpay activates your account, generate live keys, open Replace keys on the Payments page, paste them, and add a live-mode webhook the same way. Orders are only ever marked paid after a signed webhook or a server-side check with Razorpay โ never just because the browser says so.
Disconnecting
Disconnect pauses paid checkout immediately. Auto-renewing memberships can't renew while you're disconnected, and refunds for past orders then have to be done in your Razorpay dashboard.
If not, tell us what you were trying to do.
